The Chat Bot

Will the bot say weird things?

No. The bot only has access to the information we give it. It will not search for information outside of it’s database. 

What if it says something that isn't correct?

We work hard on every brand setup to be sure the bot only has access to accurate information. It will not improvise if it’s not sure about something, it will ask the user to contact the business using traditional methods.

What if it doesn't know the answer?

We train the bot to recommend a traditional contact method (phone or email) if it gets stuck with a reply. 

Do you update the bot?

Yes! We do this frequently to be sure answers are not only correct, but current and reflective of your brand standards. 

We also monitor conversations so if it gets stuck, we know to update the information database on your business.

When is the bot updated?

All databases based on pages are refreshed daily, and we update manual information based on need when we scan conversations. We typically scan conversations each day for improvement.

What kind of information does it "know"?

We typically pull data from the current website and offline FAQs. ChattyCat can also pull information from PDFs, Word Docs, Google Docs, Spreadsheets and more. 

Will my visitors think it's a human?

They just might! However we recommend stating up front they are talking to an information bot so they don’t assume anything.  

Are chats monitored?

Yes. We monitor conversations daily so if it gets stuck, we know to update the information database on your business. Think of it like quality control.

What if it says something I don't like?

Tell us! We can train the bot to be sure it’s on brand. 

Will I get reports on conversations?

Yes! We will send a monthly roundup of the number of conversations, and if you like, a 30 day log of conversations. 

Can I use it for social media?

Yes, but not directly. You can easily link from social media to your dedicated chat bot link or page on your website. 

Where is ChattyCat based?

ChattyCat is proudly located in St. Petersburg Florida. We never outsource technology or staffing overseas, and all team members are based in the USA.

Is the bot multilingual?

Yes! ChattyCat speaks all languages supported by ChatGPT.

How is ChattyCat installed on my website?

Most of the time with a simple popup button. Some websites we can assist in advanced page integration.

How long does it take to get started?

Typically get folks running within a week.

What kind of website will ChattyCat work with?

Virtually any modern website. WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, etc. are all compatible.  

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes. We offer a free trial so you can see what kind results you will receive. Just contact us!

Are there setup fees?

No, there are no setup fees to get started.

Billing

How does pricing work?

Pricing depends on website traffic. Visit our pricing page for details. Each plan renews on the 1st of each month.

Do you offer bulk pricing?

Yes, contact us for bulk pricing. Bulk pricing may be subject to longer contract terms than one month.

Are there any long-term contracts for billing?

No. Packages listed on our pricing page are one month at a time. Bulk rate agreements may be subject to longer terms.

How does billing work?

Depending on your contact plan, your tier, and your unique needs, we will quote you a monthly price. 

All plans renew on the first of the month automatically until you cancel.

Will I ever get a bill I did not expect?

No. We pride ourselves on always being transparent on all pricing. Your plan will never change without your permission, and you will be informed about any additional costs ahead of time so you can make an informed decision.
